Joyful Seaside Wedding in Bay St. Louis

Wedding day with Ashton and Dan in Bay St. Louis, MS was an absolute dream! The weather was perfect, the bride and groom were joyful, the details were swoon worthy, the flowers were some of my absolute favorite, and the list just goes on and on! The bride and groom opted for a seaside wedding which captured the fun-loving, adventurous duo they are. With a very clear vision for her day, Ashton planned every detail perfectly and assembled a rockstar vendor team to make it all come true. After kicking the morning off with mimosas, the bride and her tribe were styled by the incredible Robin Malone Makeup and Kim Cantrell Hicks. I refer to Robin as “the legend” because she totally is! 🙂 The guys arrived right as the ladies were finishing up, and Dan was all smiles as he waited for his first look with Ashton. I couldn’t wait for him to see her in her Allure Bridal gown from Bliss Bridal in Hattiesburg. She was stunning and I knew he was going to flip once he saw her – which he did!!! The couple couldn’t have been more relaxed and just radiated joy as we snapped portrait after dreamy portrait. Echoing their nautical theme, the groom wore a light gray suit with a tie featuring anchors while the bridesmaids wore navy blue gowns.
Ashton and Dan said their vows at The Balcony after getting ready at The Harbor House. A short distance from each other, it was an easy walk to join the bride and groom for their ceremony. The bride’s father said a few words and a prayer for the two of them before the couple said “I do”. As they were surrounded by their family and friends, the bride and groom sealed their union with a kiss. Then it was time to party! Ashton and Dan treated their guests to cocktail hour before shortly joining them to lead everyone in a traditional second line. As the band played, they danced and laughed along with their family and friends. Wedding guests quickly joined the newlyweds at the Harbor Deck which overlooks the harbor of beautiful Bay St. Louis. The two danced the night away with their loved ones under the twinkle lights and stars surrounded by the sounds of the bay. Their exit is one that will always be my favorite: a boat carried them away into the night featuring a banner that said “Two Less Fish in the Sea”. It was truly the perfect end to the perfect day!

Ashton & Dan – I don’t even know where to begin!!! It has been so much fun getting to know you guys over the past year! I loved working with you and being by your sides as you became husband and wife! Thank you for letting me be part of such an amazing time for the two of you! I know you guys are going to have an incredible, adventure filled life together, and I can’t wait to see all of things you do together! It was truly an honor to be your photographer!
